New Vikes jersey design?

Pearl Jam / Tom Petty at the Xcel

The concert announcement is old news, but the on sale dates have just been announced for the Petty/PJ shows on June 26th and 27th. Drive105.com is holding a presale this Friday (4/28) at 10 a.m., and tickets are released to the general public on Saturday (4/29). Bust open your piggy banks - ticket prices rance from $47.75 - $87.75. After Tickemaster fees, you can easily be looking at $100 for a good seat. But a pairing like this doesn't come along very often, so it'll definitely be worth it.

Neil Young has a new album on the horizon

"...this is about exchanging ideas... it's about getting a message out. It's about empowering people by giving them a voice. I know not everyone believes what I say is what they think. But like I said before.. ya know.. red and blue is not black and white. We're all together. It's a record about unification." -Neil Young (4/18/06)

Living With War will stream on NeilYoung.com beginning Fri, Apr. 28th. The album will be available at digital retailers beginning May 2nd. CDs will be available in stores early May.

This sounds like a pretty kickass idea to me. Leave it to the Godfather of Grunge to write and record his latest album in 2 weeks, and then get it out to the masses a few weeks later. Not too bad for a rocker pushing 60! Early reports say that this album harks back to his Mirrorball days with Pearl Jam - raw, rockin', and in your face. Go see what ol' Neil is up to yourselves by heading over to his site on Friday.

Bon Jovi - gone soft? Naaaaahhhh...

We have a little radio playing some music in the background here in the office. I'm not sure what station it's tuned to (some local lite rock FM station). Staind is playing right now. Really deep stuff...

Anyways, there was this Bon Jovi song that played on that damn station yesterday at least 6 times. I couldn't believe it. It was as if the radio playlist had 5 songs on repeat.

Now, don't get me wrong...I like Bon Jovi as much as the next guy. But this song was full of so much middle of the road radio friendly garbage. They sounded like Keith Urban or something. When did they get all soft?

I was also awakened to this song this morning as the alarm clock went off. This song sounds like something out of an American Idol commercial.

I have yet to hear it at work today, but when I do hear it, I'll be thinking of what happened to Jon Bon Jovi. I remember when he saw a million faces, and rocked them all. Now he's easy-rocking them all.

Please come back, Jon.

Hank III

I just found out that Hank III is playing June 27th at First Ave. Tickets went on sale today. Hank puts on a tremendous show, playing 2 sets (one is straight up country, and the other is straight up metal). I highly recommend attending this show if you are in the Minneapolis area. Tickets are only $14! He is currently touring behind his latest release, Straight To Hell. The images below are courtesy of his website. I highly suggest you go there and check it out immediately.
